I was on my first tropical vacation ever with a hot guy I barely knew, and he encouraged me to put my mimosa into a travel cup to enjoy on our walk. Our 'walk' turned out to be the most ambitious and uphill hike I'd ever been on because hikes are the worst and so I try to avoid them.
Add to that the fact that I was dehydrated from the afore-mentioned togosa, and frankly, the only thing that saved me (and my lasting adoration for this man), was the payoff: this view from the pillboxes on Oahu.
So, as I sat there panting heavily atop that old, graffitied pillbox, more prevalent than the question of whether or not I might be about to collapse and die was the realization that travel was available.
To me, to you, to your Aunt Cathy.
Travel is everywhere around us, and I plan to use this next stage of my life making up for lost time. I'm glad you're here with me!
